The zebrafish facility at Ohio State is located on West Campus on Bevis Hall. It was built in 1998and expanded in 2006. It is approximately 1200 sq ft with 1234 tanks (1, 6, 10 L) holding ~40, 000 fish. The tank and rack system were build by Aquatic Lab Design (Ed Sullivan, Eugene OR) and Aquatic Habitat (http://aquatichabitats.com).
We also have one rack made by Thoren Aquatics (http://thorenaquatics.com). All three zebrafish labs at Ohio State (Beattie, Henion, Jontes) jointly use this facility with Christine Beattie as the facility director and Smitha Malireddy as facility manager. The fish facility also serves as a Core service thanks to a NINDS Core Grant (2004-2009), which also helped expand the facility.
